New Functionality for Graduate Students

We are very pleased to announce an enhancement to the department's web site with very direct benefits to our graduate students. As you know, all of the faculty members in our department have a profile page on our department's web site. These pages provide a means for professors to highlight their professional accomplishments and publish their CVs. Now, you will be able to promote your academic and scholarly achievements in the same way.

By following the steps outlined below, you can create a profile on the Department of English and Comparative Literature's web site displaying your basic biographical information along with your professional and pedagogical accomplishments. You will have the option to upload your CV and add a link to your personal/professional web site if you have one. You will also have the option to upload a photograph (but we do advise you to keep in mind that these should be images that represent you as a professional scholar in your field).

As always, if you need help creating your profile or just have technology questions, ask one of the SITES interns who will be happy to help you.

To get started, follow the steps below:

1. go to englishcomplit.unc.edu/user/register and create an account

2. wait for your account to be approved; this may take 24-48 hours

3. once your account has been approved, you will receive an email notification; at this time go to http://englishcomplit.unc.edu/graduate_alpha and find your profile

4. click edit; you will only be able to edit your own profile

5. When you have finished entering your information, simply click save and your data will be submitted.

If you have any questions about updating your profile, please contact us at sites.unc@gmail.com.You may also drop by the SITES Lab located in 314 Greenlaw. We'll be happy to help with this or any other technology-related question you may have.
