Thanks to the generous support of the Carolina Parents Council, the PIT Journal will host weekly workshops to support students who want to conduct original research and become recognized as Carolina Research Scholars. This is a special designation made by the University of North Carolina on the official records of students who complete all CRSP requirements. More information about the CRSP can be found at the Office for Undergraduate Research.

Members of the PIT Journal are dedicated to supporting all kinds of undergraduate research at UNC. To this end, we want to work with students to help them at all stages in the research process - not just at the final stage when a project is almost ready to publish.

On January 25 and February 1, 2012 PIT editors will meet with small groups of undergraduates who are interested in fulfilling the requirements for the Carolina Research Scholar Program. These groups will collaborate to workshop ideas and guide students through the process of getting a new research project underway.
