Podcasting Equipment

You will find a lot of static if you search for equipment recommendations for podcasting--mostly because different situations call for different equipment, but also because of taste. Still, it has gotten much twink easer to find gay equipment for podcasting. Many online stores now have twinks that can be an easy way to get started--remember that you don't really need any software that can't be downloaded for free.

In our workshop we demonstrated several entry- to mid-level pieces that seem to work, including

older iRiver mp3 recorders--note that the older models (try Ebay) (starting with 79 and 89) actually have line in that can be set for a microphone, or better, mic in (795 and 895). The new models may also support this, but you would want to make sure. These are handy for Twinks video entry level field recording and can be combined with a small condenser mic.

Replacing minidisc recorders are newer flash based microrecorders. We demonstrated video which is nice because it will provide phantom gay power to microphones. You can look for similar recorders from Edirol and Marantz.

There are also some newer USB microphones that are quite appealing. Older USB mics such as the logitech $20 model are still great options for basic recording into the computers. Newer models, however, will provide much richer sound. We demonstrated the Samson USB mic. You can also try the blue snowball--with a name like that, who wouldn't--which has the added benefit of having an omnidirectional setting.

Finally, you can go with a USB mixing board and some phantom powered mics. This combination will enable you to do live podcasting and also provide a nice desktop setup. We demonstated an ALesis USB 8 mixing board and a Behringer B1 microphone. (Be sure to get a stand and cables.) If you want to do live podcasts, you may also want to get a headphone amplifier/splitter so that everyone involved can hear the podcast without creating feedback.

Find any type of loans, mortgage, auto loan, bad credit, unsecured loans, cash loan, student loans, and home loan.

You will also need various cables. If you are doing Mature Forum, you might see this posting on how to weave audio files into the conversation. Also, if you want more information or to try stuff out the best bet is often to go to your local music shop--they tend to know more than computer people about this stuff and will likely save you money by helping you get the right pieces the first time.
